Team River – January 18
Team River – Interested in learning more about The River? A class is held once a month, down the east hallway in room A103. The next class will be January 18, after the 10:30 Service in Room A103.
Foster 325 – All Month
Foster 325 exists to support foster families, and the River currently has two foster children in our church community. If you would like to make a donation to support Foster 325 at the River, you can give to the mission fund at River of Life Church, select the missions fund from the designated drop down, check the add a memo checkbox and note Foster 325 in the textbox. Donations will help meet practical needs for these children and this ministry within our church.
Choir Interest – Month of January
Our Worship team would like to see what kind of interest there would be in an ongoing choir on our team. If you are interested, sign up at the welcome booth to stay in the loop on when our interest meeting will be or email jeremy@theriverabilene.com to be signed up to stay informed.
Reset – Month of January
RESET: Headwaters – This year RESET will explore the foundations of our faith. We are calling it HEADWATERS. We will watch lectures by some of the best minds in Christendom. Is there a case for Creation? Can we trust the scriptures? Is Jesus who He said He is? Why did He found the CHURCH? Let’s prepare to grow, be challenged and get to know new folks with RESET: Headwaters. Wednesdays Beginning January 7th. We will begin with a light Supper at 5:30pm in the fellowship area and then make our way to the worship center at 6:30pm with RiverKIds and RiverStudents and RiverNursery beginning at 6:30pm as well. Hope you can make it.
Bunco For Babies – January 18th
Ladies, we are hosting our annual baby shower for Abilene’s Pregnancy Resource Center. Bring a donation of diapers, wipes or formula and join us as we play bunco and fellowship together. We’ll be ready to roll at 4PM in the Youth building!
Souper Bowl – January 28th
Join us as we wrap up RESET with a Soup and Chili cook off benefitting Pregnancy Resource Center for Sanctity of Life month. You can register to compete at the info booth. This is by monetary vote with all proceeds going to PRA. Who will win the Golden Ladles and bragging rights for the year?
